New Zealand!

Emma and Zach went to New Zealand and had an incredibly good time! What follows is a journal of our trip including some pictures and videos. For some of the pictures you might wonder so we'll say it now: there is no color correction, enhancements, or filters of any kind on any photo.

As a quick overview: We flew from Seattle to Los Angeles to Auckland, then took a domestic flight down to Queenstown and picked up a rental car. From Queenstown we made our way up the east coast and then through the mountains to the top of the South Island; ferried from Picton to Wellington; drove on up to Auckland.

In the second, North Island image below, the southern stop of our trip is Wellington. The unnamed stop in the middle is Tongariro National Park where we did an alpine crossing day hike (more on that later).
